You can watch Netflix offline!

You’re in the middle of watching the latest series on Netflix, only to realise that you can’t continue your stream when you’re out of the house without causing strain on your internet data. This can be incredibly frustrating for trips including long drives, plane flights or your daily commute.

We’ve got good news for you, Netflix is listening to your pleas! The mobile apps have been updated with a new feature, Offline Viewing. With offline viewing you'll be able to download both TV shows and movies in advance so that you can watch them later.

Though Netflix has been able to deliver this long-requested feature, it's important to note that not all shows and movies in the Netflix catalogue will be available for offline viewing. This is mostly due to licensing, such as BBC's "Sherlock" and Disney's "Zootopia". You'll be able to download shows like Netflix's "Stranger Things" and "House of Cards". The good news is that more downloadable shows are on the way.

To use this offline viewing feature, make sure you update your Netflix app to the latest version. Fortunately, the app has a new category, "Available to Download", which collects all movies and shows that are currently available for download, reducing the time needed to see if your show/movie can be watched offline.
