What was the name of that movie? Artificial Intelligence can help

We’re sure that everyone at some point has tried to describe a movie to friend or family, but just can’t remember the name, despite your best effort. If you need the answer immediately, then you might be interested in using Movie Artificial Intelligence, known as Val.ai.

Developed by Valossa, this AI is intended to be a new descriptive method for searching video content. This is done by sorting through raw footage of movies, to identify actors, locations, type of movie, scenes and other details. This means you can search for a more common phrase, such as “Brad Pitt Money”, and you will come up with “Ocean’s 11”.

At the moment, Val.ai has gone through 40,000 movies, and will improve in time. While the AI is not perfect, it still does a pretty good job at helping you figure out the name that is on the tip of your tongue. Presently Val.ai is in beta testing.
