Apple has revealed their latest operating system (iOS 16) coming soon. Here are 5 features we’ve highlighted.

Unlock your iPhone holding it Sideways

Currently with Face ID, to unlock your iPhone you need to hold it vertically. Starting with iOS 16, you can also unlock with the iPhone being held sideways, so you don’t need to rotate your device when it locks while watching a video or reading an article in bed.

Editing a Message after it has been Sent

Have you ever sent an sms/text and realised it was sent with the wrong information? With iOS 16, you’ll have the option to edit a message after it has been sent, provided your within 15 minutes of sending the message.

Mark Messages as Unread

Have you ever read an sms/text message but forgot to return to later on? With ios16, you’ll be able mark messafes as unread. This allows you to more easily remember to come back to a messsage and reply later on.

Detect Duplicate Contacts

How many times have you accidentally added a person contact and find out you have 5 copies of the same phone number? With the new iOS 16, your iPhone/iPad will auto find any duplicates, and place them into a duplicates found list, allowing you to sort and remove.

Translate Text using your Camera

You might not have noticed, but your apple device has a translate app. It lets you translate conversation, along with typing into the app. In the upcoming iOS 16, this feature is being linked to the camera app. If your heading overseas, you can use the camera app to translate the text for you.
