Morph your touchscreen with Phorm

We have to admit, this one caught our eye and looks very interesting. Imagine your flat touch screen could produce raised buttons when you type on the keyboard. Good news is the guys as Tactus already have and are releasing their first commercial product, "Phorm". Phorm is an all-in-one case and screen protector with an added feature, a raised keyboard that appears when you need to type, and fades away when you don't.

In a nutshell, it works through a closed system with fluid in it. Sliding the panel on the back of the case increases the pressure of the liquid and the buttons appear on your screen. Flip the switch back and they disappear again, making it very simple to use. One plus of this system is that, because it is entirely mechanical, it doesn't use of your phone's battery life.

While this won't be an accessory suited to everyone, we can see it being very useful to people who have poor vision and those who struggle typing on a completely flat surface.

Phorm is available for preorder now through their website, with the first version being for the iPad mini and costing $99 USD. A version for the iPhone 6 plus is also in the works.
