How to Take a Screenshot on your MacBook

Want to know how to take a screenshot on your Macbook? If so read below

Screenshot of your entire screen:

  • To take a screenshot of your screen, press and hold “Shift”, “Command” and “3”.

  • This will take a screenshot of your entire screen and will be saved as an image on your desktop.

Portion of a screen:

  • For taking a portion of your screen, press and hold “shift”, “Command” and “4”.

  • This will turn your mouse into a crosshair icon.

  • Move it to the area you wish to take, drag > hold > and release.

  • You can cancel by tapping the escape button. 

Screenshot of Window:

  • With taking a screenshot of the entire window, press and hold Shift > Command > 4 > Space.

  • This will turn your cursor into a Camera icon.

  • Move the camera icon over the window, click and release.

How to save to your clipboard:

  • Saving the screenshot to the clipboard allows you to copy and paste the screenshot. 

  • To do this, add the “Control” button to any of the above key combinations.
